Shiraz-June, a 12 year olf girl of Persian descent, was born with thick, wild, connected eyebrows and a thin layer of mustache above her lips.
Reaching puberty, she decides to fulfill her heart's desire and gain her mother's permission to remove the unruly hair on her face. She discovers how full of anxiety and intergenerational trauma her relationship with her dominant mother Farzana, is. Her house is a conservative "Iranian temple" where Iranian female figures with connected eyebrows are considered the symbol of beauty. She will try to get what she wants and fight for her identity outside of this relationship.
